Missing Person in Alston Found

ALSTON - Superior Search & Rescue were deployed to the Alston Cemetery to assist with the search of an 80-year-old man with dementia. He was last seen and heard of on June 7, 2021 and was reported missing in the early hours of June 18, 2021.

His vehicle was located and recovered near by his home on trail #109 on June 18 and that was when Superior Search & Rescue was deployed. After two days of searching, dogs were deployed in the area. A deputy with the Houghton County Sheriff's Office and a member of Superior Search & Rescue deployed on a side-by-side to continue searching. These two individuals located the body of our subject.
